The only way to legally ride something decent - the upgraded electric scooters. You can make it to the top of the Hai Van Pass with 100% charge and go back to Tom Motorbike with about 20% left. After 30% you’ll notice a significant drop in torque on any hill. There is space to carry a spare battery which would enable you to do the complete journey but you’ll lose some under seat storage. They’ll replace bikes all the time with fresh charged ones as long as you WhatsApp them 2 hours before. You need to place a deposit of about 500k Dong. They film the bikes for damage so I filmed them too. No hassle. Excellent service. Bikes are well maintained. In terms of power it feels like maybe a 90cc but because electric it has far more torque and will beat most bikes and cars at the lights and feels safe.
